I was born and raised on Curacao. Following high school I continued on to study medicine at the University of Amsterdam. After obtaining my degree in medicine I moved to Johannesburg, South Africa to specialize in General Surgery and Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgery.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

After 6 years of specializing and work experience in some of the world’s busiest hospitals I returned to the Netherlands. For one year I worked at the academic hospital of Rotterdam to obtain Dutch recognition of my South African plastic surgical training and since then have been registered as such in the Netherlands. Subsequently I moved to the UK and obtained a position as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the National Health Service. For five years I worked as a Pediatric Plastic Surgeon in the biggest peripheral hospital of South West England, the Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. In the private Nuffield Hospital I practiced cosmetic surgery. After 12 years of international surgical experience, I returned to my country of birth, Curaçao. Over the last 20 years I have been providing high quality plastic surgical care in my private practice which I carried out at the Advent Hospital. In my cosmetic practice I mainly focus on all aspects of facial plastic surgery, breast surgery, abdominoplasties, and liposuction. In recent year I have additionally developed an interest in Migraine Surgery.

REFRESHER TRAINING

I keep abreast of new developments in my field of expertise by regularly attending congresses in the US and Europe and I have published several papers in renowned international medical journals. I am a member of the Dutch Society of Plastic Surgeons (NVPC), the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Migraine Surgery Society.
